About
I am a highly experienced and well seasoned professional who has worked in the PeopleSoft realm for a very long time, since 1990 to be exact. Please check out my Senior Leadership practice if you would like to find out more about my rich and robust history of PeopleSoft project experiences.
It is a good bet that you know a highly experienced person and that you have
turned to that person for guidance and, dare I say, wisdom in times of need.
My goal is to be an advocate for those veteran professionals who have wisdom they
wish to share and to be an enabler to those who seek such people. I hope this
site can be a comfortable meeting place for all. If you like this site your friends and colleagues may like it as well. You are free to send a message about this site to the recipients of your choice.
PeopleSoft and Me
Roy Joslin
Senior Project Leadership
My PeopleSoft projects have been many and varied. In 1990 I had a very nice conversation in a hotel in Minneapolis with a high-level PeopleSoft technical guru, a true believer in the PeopleSoft vision of the future. After our chat he gave an outstanding sales presentation that persuaded my management to take a serious look at this new player in the Human Resource software industry.
Fortunately for me the large financial organization for which I worked eventually decided to purchase the HRMS system (version 1.x.) I have been working both technically and functionally in the PeopleSoft field ever since.
One of the best things about the year 1990 is that the math required to calculate
my years of PeopleSoft experience is quite simple. Further, I have worked continuously
in the IT industry since my 1976 graduation from the University of Minnesota
MBA/MIS program. Add in the fact that I was born in Erie, PA in 1951 and I’m
sure that an image of my age and overall experience will begin to form. I hope
the picture below doesn’t make me look too young or too old but just about
right.
